Biafo Hisper La (Snow Lake) - 16,900 ft

The interconnected Biafo and Hispar glaciers form the longest glacial system in the world outside the polar area and combined length is about 116 kilometres. It is also linking the Baltistan and Hunza Valley and cutting through the Karakuram Range. The climax of this trek (Hisper Pass) 5150m, at the conjunction of the Biafo (60 Km) and Hisper Glacier, offers incredible view of peaks and glacier valleys. During the trek You will see Latok I, Latok II, and Latok III, The Ogre Peak and some excellent Panoramas.

Snow Lake is located 16,000 feet (4,877 m) above sea level, and is approximately 10 miles (16 km) wide. Snow Lake is the most amous,difficult and most beautiful lake across Biafo Hisper pass in pakistan and very few people have become lucky to see it. Snow Lake local name is Lup-Kay-La. It is all covered in Snow.

Martin Conway, the first foreign visitor, gave Snow Lake the name in 1892. Conway described Snow Lake as "beyond all comparison the finest view of mountains it has ever been my lot to behold, nor do I believe the world can hold a finer"

Along this trek u will see the Latoak peaks, there height above sea level is 23,000 feet, the Oager peak whose height is 23,900 feet. It is the most difficult and most beautiful trek in pakistan. Some famous stops b/w the trek are Nimla, Biantha, Maango, Maarkho-Ghoro, Korofo-Ghoro and many more. Biafo Hisper pass is the longest snow covered pass after the polar region.
